Sento was inspired by a passion for great wine, and the desire to create a purpose-driven company focused on making a positive impact on the global community.
Sento founder Theresa Ann Gonnella (Tess) grew up in Sonoma County, one of the jewels of Northern California’s wine country. Her family owns an Italian restaurant where wine is a part of every meal, and she happily recalls her grandfather making his own wine from the vineyards she ran through as a child.
The tradition of great wines is inextricably linked to Italy, and Tess has always felt a deep love and appreciation for her Italian heritage – she spends several months a year in Italy, always looking to discover more about the winemaking customs that have endured for centuries.
For Tess, wine was always about more than the quality of the grape and the techniques used in its creation; what she treasured was how a good bottle of wine brought family and friends together, and encouraged a spirit of community and goodwill. This was the inspiration for Sento Bene wine.

Sento Spots are features that highlight real people, making a real difference in their own communities. By recognizing their accomplishments, we hope to inspire others to embrace every opportunity to have a positive impact on their own community.
